As Program Director within the Large Caliber Systems (LCS) business area, you will take on a strategically critical role with responsibility for product strategy, product and program portfolio management, and the long-term direction of some of Nammo’s key offerings. You will join a growing company with ambitious goals, a strong market position, and a clear mission.
About the role
The position has the overall ownership for assigned products within LCS. You will lead the strategic direction, development and lifecycle management of the product portfolio while ensuring that programs and initiatives support the long-term objectives of the business unit.
In this role, you will drive product strategy, oversee program execution and collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, R&D, Site Management, and external partners. You will combine strategic thinking with operational execution and play a key role in shaping future business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing long-term product strategies
- Analyzing market trends, competitor landscape, and emerging business opportunities
- Driving market entry and expansion strategies aligned with BU objectives
- Maintaining and developing roadmaps for the product portfolio
- Defining program scope, objectives, resource requirements, and timelines.
- Prioritizing customer orders and ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Determining production location and in/out-sourcing strategies
- Initiating and leading value chain improvement initiatives
- Maintaining strong relationships with OEMs and key industry partners
The position can be based at either of our LCS sites in Sweden – Lindesberg or Karlskoga. You will report directly to the Vice President Strategy & Programs.

Your communication is clear and you are comfortable navigating in cross-functional environments, building strong relationships both internally and externally. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous
- 3–5 years of experience within Sales, Business Development, Program Management, or Finance
- Experience from defence industry
- Experience working in an international matrix organization
- Proven track record in program management
- Strong business acumen with skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English and proficient in one Nordic language
